Wayne again made this event a treat for all ages with donated rods and reels. In addition to trophies for the winners the first place finishers received a tackle box. Everyone was a winner with the attendance prizes not to mention the fun of fishing.

The event kicked off at 08:00AM sharp with the young fisherman spreading around the lake to their favorite fishing spot. Fishing until 11:30 many of the young anglers stayed around the docks bringing their fish up to be measured as they were caught. Others, headed out in boats or other parts of the lake bringing their catch in all at once. Though the weather threatened to rain most of the morning it did not deter these youngsters from having a good time.

The largest fish caught was a 5 pound catfish measuring 25 inches long. The smallest fish also won a trophy at only 3 5/8 inches. One happy fisherman brought 30 fish in to be measured.
